    People who look

for the secret of long life

    wind up dead.

Their bodies are the focus of their lives

and the source of their death,

because they think a healthy body

is all there is to life.

    Lao Tzu used to say

a man who truly understood life

    could walk through the jungle

    without fear

    or across a battlefield

    without armor, totally unarmed.

Wild animals and weapons couldn’t kill him.

    I know, I know:

what the hell does that mean?

    “Well, he couldn’t be killed,”

    Lao Tzu said,

    “because his body

wasn’t where he kept his death.”

  • I ‘d almost swear the christian equiv. is don’t fear those who can kill the body but not the soul… but such really hasn’t quite the snap of that passage.  my favorite pal of teh time was an ex nurse became health guru of alternative. essential oils fine fine they work even well butcost per dose I looked up one time had them at 50 percent stret price overpriced and not many insurances cover alternative meds til cancer and even then many still dont…suffice it to say silly kicked the bucket because she said she’d live to a 110! then one day said she never felt better in her life andbefore 3 days was out she was out of congestive heart failure with half the cholesterol I ran as her’s was of course perfect to low mine catastrophic high.  but I never said I’d live forever or jinxed myself in that way :D :D
