often in my references to the tao i mention process and principle and in this i wish to show the difference between meaning and reason.

so many of us seek out a meaning to life or a reason as to why we are here.

i really love these posers.

in the movies we love it when we get to that point where we get the big ‘so this is whats going on’ moment.

to know our reason or purpose might not be what we really want to know.

it sorta represents and end, in my mind, its the pay off.

because,what then? now that you know,you might change your direction.

the real question is what is your process?

based on what principle?

 

consider the cup.

we have its purpose in hand.

‘coffee’

yet what is its process?

its principle?

its true value lies in what it isnt, its empty defines its process.

from cupped hands to golden goblets the process is stated.

the form fitting ‘other’

may dictate the principle behind the process.

your question

are as the cup,

a volume to be filled with a principal in mind, from the quenching of a thirst to that of quenching a fire.

is there a meaning?

a reason?

i would hate to be thirsty and only have a cup meant for fire.

as a metaphor

we are that cup

it is all that we aren’t that seems to give us value to ourselves.

how we process fills our empties, giving us meaning.

how we pore it out expresses our principles.

in the principle you will see the tao’s reflection.

there is no defining the tao.

like light it illuminates yet remains a mystery.

 

does the water taste sweeter in the goblet?

if i decorate it with gems does it taste less brackish?

is the greedy gossip more loving and beautiful wearing the latest fashion and most expensive perfume?

why is that free spirit ‘corn flower girl’ so stunning,never having worn a new dress, and deodorant is the most artificial thing about her.

the principle.

how do you fill your cup?

does it sweeten in the mouth?
