Keep these coming. It was just me and my boss and her boss today. We spent a lot of time talking about my employee. And it finally hit me…I’m a manager. And that requires a lot more of me than just being an employee. I need to adjust my thought process, my attitude, and my behavior. So now, of course, the version of the Tao you share will take on additional meaning to me. Not only as something to put to use in my personal life, but now as a manager.
I continue to be amazed at how the Universe gets things in order. I never wanted to manage people. I don’t like confrontation, and it has always been easier for me to back away and work on my own. Now, especially with the recent goings on at work, I realize I have to step up. I probably never would have without this employee. So the Universe will bring me what I need to learn and grow, and it’s up to me to pay attention to the lessons as they are offered.
@songoftheheart - this is good news, just watching the process unfold gives us insight into whats needed, and it can be most entertaining.
@songoftheheart - and this helps develop skills for what new opportunities are out there for you too.
oh. you’re herding puppies. that’s why the theme.
@longshadow618 - How is this for entertaining? My boss told me something my employee said to her recently. Our library is in a state of change, moving more to a learning commons type of place, with more computers for students. My employee told my boss that once that happens, she (my employee) can manage the whole front area all on her own, and I could just sit back in some office and do my work. My boss had to tell her, “No, Jo is the manager.” Very entertaining knowing my employee is power hungry.
So keep up with the Tao. And be off the wall, because I need the laughs.
Now, take off all your clothes and take a picture. And NOT of the clothes! Oh, for the days of the love emporium, when life was easy and the wood was hard!
@promisesunshine - I suppose I better stick around and learn, then. I forgot Ed was herding puppies. How’s that going, Ed? Are the kids behaving?

@longshadow618 - LOL! The bipeds. OK, we’ll both use the Tao!
@promisesunshine - You just want to talk about wood? It has been a long time since Ed has put out, hasn’t it? No wonder I’m crabby!

@songoftheheart - so many demands. poor guy.
@promisesunshine -He isn’t even able to post something to keep our imaginations busy until he can log in. Ha. Log in. Always a reference to wood.
@songoftheheart - my imagination works pretty good. just saying.
i might need to address the log issue on my own.
@songoftheheart - @promisesunshine - you two just need to be beaten of with a stick
@longshadow618 - beaten off or just with?
@longshadow618 - @promisesunshine - Be gentle with that wood! I’m not into 50 shades of grey.
@promisesunshine - @longshadow618 - definitely beaten off.
@songoftheheart - i’ll bet you haven’t read it.
