  • saturday’s tao ‘chapter 34′

The great Tao flows everywhere, both to the left and to the right.
The ten thousand things depend upon it; it holds nothing back.
It fulfills its purpose silently and makes no claim.

It nourishes the ten thousand things,
And yet is not their lord.
It has no aim; it is very small.

The ten thousand things return to it,
Yet it is not their lord.
    It is very great.

    It does not show greatness,
    And is therefore truly great.

  • Gosh, Ed, this is so beautiful.  Lots to see in this one…a giving tree, a praying man in a turban, an angel or woman holding out a formal dress, as if she is showing something hidden and great (hard to explain, but my mind sees her), a treasure at the base of the tree, spirit above the man and above the woman, a heart encompassing the tree at the base…just a beautiful, peaceful feeling, like coming upon this in a clearing in the forest, and all sorts of angelic beings surrounding and within…I love when I see so much peace and love flow through your art.

I’m at work.  I hope you have a great day!  Thanks for the Tao!
