saturday’s tao ‘chapter 34′
The great Tao flows everywhere, both to the left and to the right.
The ten thousand things depend upon it; it holds nothing back.
It fulfills its purpose silently and makes no claim.It nourishes the ten thousand things,
And yet is not their lord.
It has no aim; it is very small.The ten thousand things return to it,
Yet it is not their lord.
It is very great.It does not show greatness,
And is therefore truly great.

Gosh, Ed, this is so beautiful. Lots to see in this one…a giving tree, a praying man in a turban, an angel or woman holding out a formal dress, as if she is showing something hidden and great (hard to explain, but my mind sees her), a treasure at the base of the tree, spirit above the man and above the woman, a heart encompassing the tree at the base…just a beautiful, peaceful feeling, like coming upon this in a clearing in the forest, and all sorts of angelic beings surrounding and within…I love when I see so much peace and love flow through your art.

first thing i was reminded of was a wisteria tree (one of my favorites). but, song is very right, there is a lot to see in this one and it is very peaceful.
