AW! I LOVE THIS! Shel is one of my favs! I read his books and poems, I read them to my students, and to my own kids. Such important words and life lessons. Thanks for sharing these vids', Ed! HUGS!
@AdamsWomanFell - i'm looking at where the sidewalk ends now too!!
this very morning i was thinking about the giving tree and how i can't read it aloud anymore. can't make it all the way through. ever.
my contribution: i will not play at tug o' war. i'd rather play at hug o' war, where everyone hugs instead of tugs, where everyone giggles and rolls on the rug, where everyone kisses, and everyone grins, and everyone cuddles, and everyone wins.
@promisesunshine - Hey, Can you get on your "home page"....subs/private page where you see all the activity...like how posted, who commented, etc.? I can't get on my own.
@promisesunshine - that is one of MY favs of his poems! thanks for putting it here!
@promisesunshine - Okay...I know of two others who can't either. So must be a Xanga problem.
@promisesunshine - The one I posted reminded me of coming to Ed's site...His art always conjures up stories in my head...and his place here is one I feel I can come and sit a spell...and I feel happier and warmer when I leave.
@AdamsWomanFell - i think perhaps that might be the same reason i was drawn to it. the poem. well, here too.
@promisesunshine - Yes. Shel S's books and poems evoke such emotion in me! I love when someone can do that with just words.
@promisesunshine - both of you warm my heart, so deeply. you are always welcome to sit, if you find inspiration here then im doing it right. thank you
@AdamsWomanFell - he makes me laugh.and he makes words fun. (i guess made, but, no. always with us)

these are wonderful, Ed. both of them. some lessons can be learned from The Giving Tree.
The second one is such a hard lesson to learn, what a sad story. beautiful though thanks for sharing.
Thank you, Ed. You are a beautiful Giving Tree.
@songoftheheart - you are always welcome to my shade

PS....“If you are a dreamer come in
If you are a dreamer a wisher a liar
A hoper a pray-er a magic-bean-buyer
If you're a pretender com sit by my fire
For we have some flax golden tales to spin
Come in!
Come in!”
