  • tao for lunch ‘chapter 70′

My words are easy to understand and easy to perform, Yet no man under heaven knows them or practices them.

    My words have ancient beginnings.

    My actions are disciplined.

Because men do not understand, they have no knowledge of me.

Those that know me are few; Those that abuse me are honored.

Therefore the sage wears rough clothing and holds the jewel in his heart.

  • that last line is mos def the truth!!

  • I like the picture.  It kind of goes with my head lately.  There is a lot of stuff flowing, branching out into other things.  All emanating from the source, but so many different tendrils going in different directions…holding the jewel in the heart is the only answer.  Letting things flow without getting too deeply into them is also what I’m trying to do.  Just see the flow, know the source, try not to figure anything out, and let it just come to me as it will.  LOL!  Heck, I’m off to the river.  It can all flow there, intermingle, maybe tell me something I need to know.

  • @songoftheheart - eyes to see, my dear, and ears to hear, may the river sing to you.(-:
